About Us

LowCountry Connect Systems was created by the leadership team at Lakeside Family Center, a local practice that has been serving the community for over a decade. Why build a system to support other local providers? The answer lies in Lakeside's longstanding commitment to a community-based approach to services. As a local provider, Lakeside Family Center has weathered challenges such as Medicaid audits, COVID-19 pandemic, and the growing pressure from large corporations absorbing smaller practices into national databases. These corporate entities often make big promises, yet leave providers with inadequate support, sacrificing their independence and identity as private practices.

Over the years, Lakeside Family Center has developed internship programs for master’s level graduates and focused on professional development, all with the goal of delivering the best possible care to our Lowcountry communities. Now, we are expanding that mission to support neighboring providers. Through LowCountry Connect Systems, we aim to share our experience and offer the necessary tools and resources to help other providers succeed in the rapidly changing world of behavioral health care.
